Precinct Captains are the lifeblood of the County Democratic Committee operations.

You must be a registered Democrat and reside within the Precinct you are running for. You can find your precinct at IdahoVotes.gov by checking your voter information.
​
New Precinct Captain Candidates as well as Returning Precinct Captains must run for election every 2 years during the Primary Election. The 2026 Primary is slated for May 19, 2026.
​
The filing window for Precinct Captains is March 2-13, 2026. You must make your declaration with the County Clerk within this window.
